An Evening Photo Session at West Wittering Beach

Family shoots at the beach don’t always have to be at golden hour. Ever heard of golden hour? A lot of people haven’t. But if you’re looking to book a photoshoot for your family and you haven’t already come across the term. you soon will!

There is no disputing hat golden hour (the hour before the sun sets) yields some wonderful results in terms of light. But for some, in summer, that’s just not doable. And whilst I love shooting at golden hour (and I really do) that doesn’t mean that it the only time to shoot.

This session happened about an hour before golden hour and ended just after it was getting started. And let me just say, I love the sunshine in these shots!

This family were so incredible, completely let go and entrusted me to capture some memories as well as some framers for the wall along the way. The girls were such sweethearts and really seemed to enjoy their session and time at the beach. And, miraculously for young kids, each other! I can’t wait to work with them again soon. After their original shoot postponed in October (we arrived only for the rain to start and not stop!) I think it was meant to be that we ended up doing the session on a beautiful summers evening at the beach.
