Pylewell Park Wedding Photography

Well what can I say about this day? After a year of many, many wedding postponements, to shoot something so beautiful with a team I had chosen was just the best feeling!

I have never ever shot a ‘styled shoot’ before. All the images you see on my website and social media are all real weddings. But a year of postponements had left me feeling this real need to create.

I was booked in to shoot Caroline and Will’s wedding at the glorious Pylewell Park this month. I was so excited to be shooting there, somewhere new and so beautiful. Pylewell Park had only been open for weddings for a year before dreaded Covid hit. In light of my couples postponement I reached out to Pylewell about getting some of my favourite wedding suppliers together and making some pretty!

The day of the shoot I woke to heavy rain and dark skies. But there was not a chance we weren’t going to go ahead and by some miracle, we were graced with dry spells that enabled us to get outside. Not that good weather is particularly necessary for this venue. Some wedding venues rely heavily on good weather but Pylewell is so beautiful inside with amazing pockets of gorgeous natural light everywhere, I could have shot inside all day if I had needed!

I asked some of my favourite wedding suppliers to join me in this and we had such a great day together making these images. Nortier Shallow brought their beautiful Elodie dress. As soon as I saw it I knew if was the one I needed them to bring! With removable sleeves it transitions seamlessly from day to party time.

I had worked with Tori from Riot Hairdressing before at another wedding. She is effortlessly talented at hair and was able to change model Clares hair from up to down to up again in no time.

Amy Richards took to make up and did a fantastic job, as always. She asked what I wanted and all I specified was a dark lip. Clare’s make up was stunning.

My favourite florist is Lisa from Lily Lupin and bouquet concept was all her work. Her work is stunning, always!

Leon was our Groom, he was super fun to be around and nailed the dapper groom look with the help of the insanely amazing Graeme from Healy & Son. Graeme was only contacted a week before the shoot (my bad!) and put together the most complimentary colours to my mood board. The suit was gorgeous!

Ashley from Ashley Wild Bridal was the first to spring to mind for veils and accessories. Ashley had a family shoot booked in with me before the c word and we had exchanged many messages. There was never anyone else for the job. Her accessories are luxurious and modern. The headpieces, earring and veil we chose are all from Ashley’s collection.

Last but not least is my friend Sam who is looking to add wedding film photography to her bow and what better practice than to hang out with me on this shoot! You’re going to love the short film. I’ve had a sneak peek and its beautiful!

As I have mentioned, I’ve never been to a styled shoot before, let alone created my own mini one but I’m so pleased with these images and how everything came together exactly as it did in my head!

I’m really looking forward to shooting the lovely Caroline and Will’s real wedding here next year and if you’re planning a wedding at Pylewell and are looking for a wedding photographer then get in touch. I’d love to hear from you!
