2021 - Highlights from a crazy, beautiful year.

I’ve really struggled to put this year into words. Honestly, I can’t quite believe how ‘2020’ is was. I guess that stems from my naivety of how a pandemic actually works. I don’t know. I do know that I find it hard talking about the difficulties of capturing a years worth of weddings in half the time because, well, I’m no life saver here. But I will talk about the wonderful.

After everything this pandemic had brought in 2020 and continued to bring in 2021, I need to tell you that weddings were very very needed. To celebrate life, love, hardship and bloody hell, just to escape to a sense of normality for the day! It appeared to be what we all needed. Parties went off, people hugged just that bit tighter and longer and it felt…good! Normalish. Mostly. And it was so great to be bak with my fellow Hampshire and Dorset wedding suppliers again.
A lot of my couples had booked in 2019 and moved from 2020 to 2021 meaning we spent longer communicating and getting to know one another so it felt so very special to finally capture their days. We were all even more invested. Bonded. And if any of you are reading this then thank you for choosing me and sticking with me! I’ll always be grateful.

I’ve tried so hard to grab some moments to share in this post. I try to select images instinctively and not think too hard. Lord knows I went through a lot of images! And somethings thinking too hard take the fun out of it. I don’t know if this post does this year justice and every wedding photographer who has recently done the same thing will probably agree, it’s hard! But here we are. If you’ve made it this far then I’ll leave you now. In the capable hands of 2020. And if you’re still looking for a wedding photographer to capture your 2022 wedding I do have just a couple of spaces left but 2023, come at me!
