hannah & Oskars stylish wedding at home

Hannah and Oskar’s wedding was one of those gloriously sunny summer days that seemed to unfold with its own little bit of magic.

The day began with a ceremony in a beautiful village church, followed by a vintage sports car ride that, in true wedding-day fashion, had a slight wobble when the car broke down en route. Thankfully, it was back in action for the journey to the groom’s house, where a beautiful marquee awaited for the celebrations.

Hannah, an artist herself, had poured so much of her creativity into the day. From the stationery to the thoughtful details and decor, so much had been designed and made by her, giving everything a wonderfully personal and understated feel. Her bridal look was equally elegant and natural, with a beautiful dress by Andrea Hawkes. Her three sisters made up the bridal party, adding to the relaxed, intimate feel of the day.

And then there was the best man’s speech. Quite possibly the best I’ve ever heard and certainly the only one I’ve photographed involving actual goats!

As the afternoon turned into evening, the celebrations carried on under the marquee, with plenty of laughter, dancing and a seriously good party. Later, we slipped away for some portraits in the warm evening light and were rewarded with a beautiful Hampshire sunset.

I also managed to shoot a few frames on analogue film throughout the day, which felt particularly fitting for a wedding with such a timeless, handmade quality.

A brilliant couple, a brilliant party, and a wedding full of personality from start to finish. Hannah and Oskar, what a day.
